StemForge

Know the BPM and key before you cut

Matching a cut to a track's tempo, or layering two pieces of music in the same key, usually means guessing or pulling the file into a separate app just to find out. StemForge detects both the moment a track hits the panel.

Tempo detection

Beat-tracks the track's onset envelope to read its BPM.

Key detection

Matches the track's chroma features against classic key profiles. It's solid for tonal music and less meaningful on atonal SFX or noise.

Render to a target

Set a target BPM or key and render a time-stretched or pitch-shifted version, ready to drop into your edit.

Questions

Does this work on dialogue or SFX, not just music?
Key detection is built for tonal material, so it's most meaningful on music. BPM detection can still pick up a usable tempo from rhythmic SFX, but results vary more outside of music.
Do I need to separate stems first?
No. Analysis and rendering work on a track as a whole. Stem separation is a separate step you can combine with this if you want to transform individual stems.

Want vocals, drums, and bass as their own tracks too? See stem separation.
